What this page covers
This policy explains what the Fantasy Counter browser extension ("League Sync") accesses on your behalf when you connect an ESPN Fantasy Football league, and how that information is used.
What we access, and when
When you click "Sync" from the Fantasy Counter app, the extension reads two ESPN session cookies (espn_s2 and SWID) for fantasy.espn.com only. We never access cookies for any other site, and we never access these cookies automatically -- only when you explicitly start a sync.
What we do with it
Those cookies are used to call ESPN's own league APIs on your behalf, so we can show you which ESPN leagues you belong to and let you choose which one to import. This is the same kind of session-based access you'd get by being logged into espn.com yourself -- we are not given, and never see, your ESPN password.
What we transmit, and where
When you confirm a league to import, those same ESPN cookies are sent once, over HTTPS, to Fantasy Counter's own servers to complete the import. They are not sent to, sold to, or shared with any third party, and are not used for advertising.
What's stored locally in your browser
The extension keeps two small pieces of data in your browser's local storage: a short-lived flag (expires within 90 seconds) used to detect that you've started a sync, and a temporary access token (expires within 2 hours) used to authenticate the sync request to Fantasy Counter. Neither is shared with anyone else and both expire automatically.
Revoking access
You can revoke the extension's access at any time by uninstalling it from your browser, and/or disconnecting your ESPN league from your Fantasy Counter account settings.
